An investigation
is underway to achieve greater responsibility for tax
payers’ dollars. The greatest achievement in this area
is transparency of every dollar spent by the
County’s General Fund.
This has been brought about by an initiative spearheaded by Commissioners Wes Prater and Kristen Judge. This initiative will require all General Fund expenditures to be posted on the website (www.ewashtenaw.org). The postings will reveal the check number, the payee, the date and the amount spent.

General Fund
Currently, Commissioners Wes Prater and Kristen Judge are working to require a periodic internal audit to authenticate the purpose and validity of all the checks written from the General Fund.
