A Vision Accomplished
In 2004, as your Commissioner, I reported to you that the
Planning Advisory Board of Washtenaw County had a draft detailed
Comprehensive Plan for Washtenaw County. At the time,
it was awaiting final passage.
I am pleased to report to you that the plan was adopted unanimously by the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners. It is now available for your perusal on the County Website, and at City; Village; Township, and County offices.
Work is continuing by the Planning Department and its Citizens Planning Advisory Board to develop programs for the development of renewable energy systems for use in Washtenaw County and to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.
