A Commitment to Public Safety
A County that can balance its books and maintain a high
level of public safety is what I have been working to
achieve as your County Commissioner.
Public Safety has been a major part of my adult life,
having served 25 years on the Ann Arbor Fire Department,
retiring in 1988 as Fire Marshall.
While serving as Ypsilanti Township Supervisor
from 1988 through 1996, we increased the number of police
officers from 23 to 38, and added 2 community service officers.
Public Safety will continue to be one of
my highest priorities as your County Commissioner.
